special educating at home

Knowing state schools require that our kids stay in the system to access their specialized services (such as speech therapy), Geri Cabezudo wanted to create a way for families to bridge the gap between homeschooling/un-schooling and special education. As an un-schooling/home-schooling mom of a child with special needs herself, through developing and implementing individualized curriculum and speech therapy ideas with families, Geri supports and empowers parents to educate their own children and to still have access to specializations such as speech therapy for their kids with special needs.

Geri holds a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and has worked in both private and public education, as a general education teacher, special education teacher, and as a long-time speech-language therapist.

Geri is currently working in-person with families in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida and/or with families worldwide, virtually.
